Animated Poster
This was a passion project inspired by bush festival and trance culture. I was in a bit of a creative blank, and after listening to some new music genres, I was inspired to create an overwhelming, but uniform and trance-like design utilising animation and videos. This was the first time I implemented animation in a personal project, and I had a blast spending so much time animating little details. utilising multiple "themes", including Sunset, Magic, Ocean and Citrus leaning colour schemes, I created a beautiful flow of colours illuminated by glowing signs and flashing lights, experimenting with effects that were new to me. I am very proud of this design, and I love how well the colour pops and glows.
Too Much Colour was the result of the end of a big creative block. I was having trouble finding inspiration or proper motivation to finish my design projects, but I decided to sit down with some trance-like music on, and see where it took me. I quickly came up with the "Too Much Colour" phrase, and thought it was perfect. I ended up experimenting a lot with the typography and design elements, and decided to make this creation an animation in After Effects. This project had a lot of back and forths between programs, and eventually, after lots of trial and error, I created a vivid animated poster capturing exactly what I wanted.
